The 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup will be the eighth Confederation Cup and will be held in South Africa as a prelude to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. From 14-28 June 2009, games will be played in Johannesburg, Mangaung/Bloemfontein, Rustenburg and Tshwane/Pretoria.
Anticipation is growing ahead of the FIFA World in 2010 to be held in South Africa. Between 11 June and 11 July 2010, games will be played in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Mangaung/Bloemfontein, Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Rustenburg and Tshwane/Pretoria.
The 2010 FIFA World CupTM in South Africa represents a special premiere in that it is the first time that the competition will be hosted on African soil. As such, many entities, organizations, businesses and non-commercial organizations will want to be part of this groundbreaking movement.
